Mumbai, Oct 24 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh-based Nishtha Sharma, who has been announced as the winner of children singing reality show "The Voice India Kids", says she wants to do playback singing for actress Alia Bhatt.
Nishtha, who belongs to a musically inclined family of Sultanpur, emerged as the winner of the &TV show on Sunday.
"I am felling very good now. I am happy to make my mentor Neeti Mohan proud. This is a dream come true moment for me as my parents are also from this background. I also want to do something in music only. My inspiration are my parents," Nishtha told IANS.
Her parents -- Jai Prakash Sharma and Geeta Sharma -- are music teachers and run a music institute.
Talking about her future plans, Nishtha said: "Right now I wish to focus on my studies. As I am only 10, I wish to give maturity to my voice. For that, I will do a lot of practice now.
"If given a chance, I would love to do playback singing for Alia Bhatt. I am a big fan of her and feel my voice would suit her."
"The Voice India Kids" started with 94 contestants coming from across India, with playback singers Shaan and Neeti Mohan, and music director Shekhar Ravjiani playing mentors to the contestants.
