Srinagar, Oct 21 (IANS) A 25-year-old youth died following a heart attack in Badgam district of Kashmir as security forces chased a stone-pelting mob on Friday.
Javaid Ahmad Mir, 25, was declared brought dead by doctors at Jhelum Valley College Hospital here after he fell down during clashes with the security forces, police said.
Meanwhile, at least 12 persons were injured in clashes between stone-pelting mobs and the security forces in south Kashmir areas.
Authorities had imposed restrictions in old city areas of Srinagar and Pampore town in Pulwama district to prevent protests after the Friday prayers.
No congregational prayers were offered at the historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of old city Srinagar for the 15th consecutive Friday.
Life across the valley remained affected for the 106th consecutive day on Friday due to the separatist-called protest shutdown.
At least 92 persons have died and over 12,000 injured in the ongoing unrest in the valley -- worst since the 2010 violence -- since July 9, a day after the killing of top militant Burhan Wani in a clash with security forces.
