Kolkata, Oct 20 (IANS) The condition of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee showed "slight improvement" on Thursday, though he still had fever and was administered oxygen, said the nursing home treating the leader after Tuesday's road accident.
"His condition has slightly improved though he continues to have acute body ache and fever." CEO of Belle Vue clinic Pradip Tondon told IANS.
"The swelling in the injured orbital region below the eye is still there and he is given Oxygen as his oxygen saturation limit is low," he said.
Abhishek was admitted to the nursing home after his car hit the crane of a van towing a snag-hit milk van at Ratanpur, about six km from Singur on the Durgapur Expressway in Hooghly district, on Tuesday.
Tandon said an eye specialist and maxilo-facial surgeon are scheduled to examine Abhishek on Friday.
