Los Angeles, Oct 19 (IANS) "Spider-Man" star Tobey Maguire and jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer have parted ways after nine years of marriage.
The duo, who have two children -- daughter Ruby and son Otis, announced their separation in a joint statement to people.com.
"After much soul searching and consideration, we have made the decision to separate as a couple," said jointly.
"As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship," they added.
Maguire, 41, and Meyer, 39, met in early 2003. They got married four years later in Hawaii attended by a small group of family and friends.
