Moscow, Oct 18 (IANS) Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in a meeting with leaders of France, Germany and Ukraine in Normandy format in Berlin on Wednesday, the Kremlin confirmed on Tuesday.
"The President will travel to Berlin tomorrow (Wednesday), where he will take part not in a one-day, but an evening working visit, and he will hold talks with (German Chancellor Angela) Merkel, (French President Francois) Hollande, and (Ukrainian President Petro) Poroshenko," Xinhua news agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying.
The Kremlin has earlier repeatedly declined to confirm Putin's participation in the meeting on the crisis in Ukraine.
Last week, the Russian leader cancelled a visit to France also scheduled for Wednesday.
