Cape Town, Oct 15 (IANS) In its effort to make peace with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the International Cricket Council (ICC) has made BCCI President Anurag Thakur a part of the powerful Finance and Commercial Affairs committee (F&CA) after completion of its board meeting here on Saturday.
The F&CA wing is one of the most powerful decision-making sub-committees of the ICC as all the revenue related aspects go through it.
The development came after BCCI -- the world's richest cricket body -- had raised objections about not having it's representative in the F&CA committee despite India's Shashank Manohar being chairman of the global body.
However, according to sources, there is a rule which automatically makes Thakur part of the F&CA committee, once he was named chairman of the ICC's Development Committee.
