New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS) Designer duo Ashima-Leena showcased their love for floral prints at the 28th edition of the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Spring-Summer 2017 here on Friday.
Titled 'Romance of the Florals', the collection was a combination of soft fabric and pastel shades of pale blue and pink, with white lotuses and leafy greens put together on yellow and orange fabrics with hints of sparkle.
The duo tried to paint the hues of spring onto the creations using sheer drapes of georgettes and chiffons, and using Swarovski crystals for the bling.
Models clad in crop tops, high waist trousers, off shoulder tops, skirts and shorts, walked the ramp with simple hats and big sunglasses.
If we talk about saris, the duo incorporated ruffles as borders for breezy flow.
The mood of the audience was set with soothing rhythms.
The five-day fashion extravaganza, which started on October 12, will conclude on Sunday.
Other designers, who are yet to showcase their collection at the 28th edition of the fashion gala, include names like Siddhartha Tytler, Kavita Bhartia, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Pallavi Mohan, Masaba and JJ Valaya.
