Baharampur (West Bengal), Oct 8 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday inaugurated a new military station in Murshidabad district in West Bengal.
"President of India inaugurated newly developed military station at Nabagram, WB," the Eastern Command tweeted.
It is being built as a model military station over an area of 252 acres.
The President had laid the foundation stone of the project in 2014.
Mukherjee, who is on a five-day visit to West Bengal also attended a felicitation programme in neighbouring Birbhum district headquarters Suri.
At Suri, he also formally rechristened a road after his freedom fighter father Kamada Kinkar Mukherjee.
