Namaste France to associate with French European Indian Fashion Week


New Delhi, Oct 7 (IANS) Namaste France, a fest that shows India's cultural prowess, will be associating with French European Indian Fashion Week (FEIFW), an initiative of World News Network.

Namaste France is a two and half months long festival, which is underway in Paris from September 15. It aims to serve as a window to Indian traditional arts, music, dance, theatre, literature, cinema and fashion.

FEIFW will be held from October 21-23. The organisers hope that the fashion event serves as a platform for designers from around the world to express their culture or any other cause through their creations.

Recognising the importance of exchanges in the field of fashion, Namast? France festival will associate with the FEIFW, read a statement.

Satish Reddy, President of Paris-based French European Indian Organization (FEIO), hopes that the association will be fruitful.

"It's a great pleasure organizing a Fashion Week on the Eiffel Tower and I want to thank Namast? France for being there and supporting and helping us to make into a great event," Reddy said.

The fashion gala will be inaugurated by India's Ambassador to France Mohan Kumar.

Indian designers Rocky S and Poonam Bhagat will be showcasing their collections at FEIFW at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Other Indian designers participating in the event are Nida Mahmood, Kanika Saluja, Asa Kazingmei, Mayyur Girotra, Sahil Aneja, Karishma Jumani, Mandira Virk, and Madhu Jain.

Former beauty queen Liza Varma, who is collaborating with Reddy from FEIFW, said: "French European Indian Fashion Week will offer thought-provoking ideas through conversational pieces of fashion for a global audience by creating timeless designs."
