Faridabad, Oct 7 (IANS) A seven-year-old class two student was killed and four others were injured on Friday when a speeding car rammed into a school van ferrying students here, police said. The family of the deceased child later donated his organs.
The incident occurred near Budhena Chowk of Faridabad. Police said a speeding Swift Dzire rammed into the school van of Modern Public School in Sector 17.
The school van hit an electric pole and rolled over twice after it was hit.
Police said class two student Saksham was killed in the mishap. The family members of the deceased boy donated his liver, kidney and eyes.
Students Kuleshwar, Lokeshwar, Pravesh Saini and Pooja were injured in the incident.
Doctors said the condition of Saini, one of the injured, was critical and he had been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital.
The driver of the Swift Dzire managed to escape the spot but left the car behind.
Police said they were searchinfg for the absconding car driver who they expected to arrest soon.
