Chandigarh, Oct 5 (IANS) Slamming Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convenor Arvind Kejriwal for "playing into the hands of anti-national forces", Punjab's ruling Shiromani Akali Dal on Wednesday said the AAP leader is playing politics with national security.
"The confirmation by the army that it is handing over videographic proof of the surgical strikes against terrorist launch pads in Pakistan to the Union Government is a slap for sceptics like Arvind Kejriwal, who are playing into the hands of anti-national forces," senior Akali Dal leader and party MP Prem Singh Chandumajra said in a statement here.
"It is disgusting that at a time when the entire country is one in supporting the army and the central government, people like Kejriwal were playing politics with national security," Chandumajra said.
"Kejriwal is in the habit of making wild statements and even lying and going back on his words, but even he should have thought 10 times before making any statement, which hurt national pride and the national cause," he added.
Chandumajra further said that Kejriwal should apologise to the brave soldiers, who risked their lives to carry out strikes at the terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control.
