New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) Low-cost, medium-to-long haul airline Scoot on Monday said it has commenced flight operations from Singapore to Jaipur on the 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
"The response from Chennai and Amritsar has been phenomenal so far and with the Jaipur launch, our spirits are soaring," said Bharath Mahadevan, Country Head - India, Scoot.
"We are hopeful of a strong foothold in India with our exceptional offers and features like inflight connectivity and in-seat power."
According to the airline, the new flight service will be operated thrice a week, with the frequency going up to four times a week from October 30.
The airline added that Jaipur has become its third Indian city where it operates to after Chennai and Amritsar.
Scoot is the low-cost, medium-to-long haul arm of the Singapore Airlines Group managed by Budget Aviation Holdings. The airline has carried over seven million guests since taking to the skies in June 2012.
