Islamabad, Oct 3 (IANS) Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Monday chaired a meeting of all parliament leaders to discuss the situation at the border with India and the Kashmir issue.
Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry briefed the all-party leaders' meeting about the latest situation along the Line of Control, Radio Pakistan reported.
The meeting was convened with the agenda to give a message that the "entire nation is united when it comes to defence and integrity" of Pakistan.
Tensions escalated between India and Pakistan following recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and after the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Earlier, 19 soldiers were killed as militants attacked an Indian Army camp in Uri town of north Kashmir on September 18. India has blamed Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammad militant group for the attack.
