Rahul returns to attacking Modi

Agra, Oct 1 (IANS) A day after praising him for the cross-LoC strikes, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday again attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of only working for capitalists.

Interacting with people during his road show here, Gandhi said that the the NDA government was supported by the capitalists who benefited most from its policies. He promised loan waiver, electricity at half rates and policies targeted to boost agriculture.

Addressing a crowd at the gate of St Peter's College on Wazirpura road, he said tax evaders were allowed to flee, and nothing was done for the farmers.

Waving to people on the city's busy streets, Gandhi, who travelled in an open mini bus, along with state Congress chief Raj Babbar, reached Agra Fort crossing to garland a statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar.

On the way, he also garlanded a statue of Maharaj Agrasen at the fountain, where he reportedly received a slight electric shock, but this has been denied.

Gandhi, who arrived here from Mathura, was also scheduled to hold a 'Khat Sabha' at Tundla.
