The programme was organised in Heera Public School at Samalkha in South Delhi, where 289 girls students have been trained in self-defence techniques, police said.
"The girls demonstrated different skills of self defence techniques. A certificate was also given to all the participants," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Manoj C. said.
"We have given self-defence training to about 5,242 girl students of different schools till October 30. We educated them about the importance of self-defence techniques for girls against increasing crime against women in Delhi," the officer said.
