Los Angeles, Sep 28 (IANS) Actresses Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson have been roped in to star in a yet untitled movie revolving around a veteran late-night talk show host.
The story of the film follows a venerated late-night talk show host, played by Thompson, who is in danger of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer, played by Kaling, reports variety.com.
According to sources, the story of the film is inspired from "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Broadcast News".
Kaling is also expected to star in "Ocean's Eleven" reboot, titled "Ocean's Eight", starring Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett.
Meanwhile, Thompson, who had won an Oscar for her 1995 adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility", will next voice Mrs. Potts in upcoming animation film "Beauty and the Beast".
