The python is believed to have entered the CNG station at Runakta from a nearby forest.
Wildlife SOS responded to an emergency call and found the constrictor with several injuries. It took almost 30 minutes to rescue it.
Varun Kumar, manager at the CNG station, said: "The staff heard a rustling noise from bushes and were shocked to see the gigantic reptile."
M.V. Sharma of Wildlife SOS said the python had suffered serious tissue damage under its lower jaw.
"We believe the injuries were caused by the sharp barbed wires along the boundary walls. We have given it the necessary treatment."
Added his colleague Kartick Satyanarayan: "We will return to its natural habitat once our veterinarians deem it fit for release."
