Track disruption delays Samjhauta Express to Pakistan

New Delhi, Sep 25 (IANS) The running of the Samjhauta Express train between Delhi to Lahore, via Attari in India's Punjab was delayed due to "track disruption because of labour issues", said informed sources.

"Our Ministry of Railways has conveyed that because of labour issues there was disruption of track," a source here said.

The information was conveyed by the Indian Railways to Pakistan Railways, it is learnt.

"Our Railway Ministry has said Samjhauta Express will run but a bit delayed," the source said.

The Samjhauta Express is a twice-weekly train that runs on Tuesdays and Fridays.
