London, Sep 25 (PTI) Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has slammed today's young musicians for solely caring about producing a hit single.
The 54-year-old singer is the frontman of rock band Bon Jovi, who have produced countless hits over the years including "Livin' on a Prayer", "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Wanted Dead or Alive".
However, while Jon is proud of his success, he insists he doesn't make music just to boost his bank balance, and thinks about the record-making process as a whole rather than worrying about the potential success of individual singles, reported Contactmusic.
"We live now in an era of all kids care about is producing a song. "They are not thinking about an album. To me it was always about the record.
"It is just not the way I think. An album is a moment in time. I remember that conversation happening 15 years ago with the advent of the iPod, 'Now I just have to record three or four songs and then I can go back on tour'. Well that's not the generation I grew up in. An album is important. It's not just worrying about singles on the radio to sell pop songs.
