New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS) Defending herself in a case filed against her by Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal, former DCW chief Barkha Shukla Singh said that whoever is guilty will be punished.
Taking a dig at DCW chief, Barkha Singh said that Maliwal is remembering things only after she filed a complaint against her with the ACB.
"If there were irregularities, she should have filed a case against me earlier," she said.
Barkha Singh added that she is not scared of the probe.
"ACB has registered the case and is investigating. Whoever is found guilty will be punished," she said.
Barkha Singh's comments come after Swati Maliwal on Friday accused former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and former DCW chiefs Barkha Singh Shukla and Kiran Walia of indulging in massive corruption and asked the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to arrest and jail them.
In a six-page complaint filed with the ACB, Maliwal said she had uncovered "gross financial irregularities and high misappropriation of government funds" by Barkha Singh and Walia, prima facie under the directions of Dikshit from 2007 to 2015.
Dikshit was the Chief Minister of Delhi from 1998 to 2013.
Maliwal, who herself is facing an ACB probe over alleged irregularities in recruitment to the Delhi Commission for Women, said a 128-page document detailing all the wrongdoing by the three had been submitted to the ACB.
