New Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Somnath Bharti was on Thursday arrested on charges of damaging a fence at the AIIMS here and misbehaving with its security guards, police said.
Bharti was taken into custody from his residence and taken to the Hauz Khas police station. The AAP leader, a former law minister, has denied the allegations.
Police registered an FIR against Bharti and his supporters on September 11 following a complaint from the Chief Security Officer of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, R.S. Rawat.
