Ghaziabad, Sep 21 (IANS) A 16-year-old girl was abducted on Tuesday night and was found unconscious on Wednesday morning in Ghaziabad.

The girl told IANS that on her way home, a boy dragged her into a car, in which three other boys and a woman were present.

She said that they gave her a sedative which made her unconscious. In the morning, she regained consciousness in a hospital. She also complained of severe pain in certain parts of her body.

She said that she did not know where she had been throughout the night.

"A criminal case has been registered against five persons under sections 363 and 366 of IPC. A person has been arrested. Other named persons are yet to be arrested," said Rajesh Sharma, the PRO of the Ghaziabad SSP.

The officer said that the section pertaining to sexual assault would be added only after the medical examination.

The incident happened in Rahul Vihar residential locality when the Class 11 student was returning from a tuition centre.

Her father said that when she did not return till 9 p.m. the family members got worried. He tried to lodge a complaint but got no cooperation from the police.

In the morning, they received a phone call from an unidentified person who told them that their daughter was found unconscious near Roswell Public School in Vijay Nagar.

After some time, the same caller told them that the girl has been admitted to Columbia Asia Hospital. The hospital refused to conduct a medical examination under the pretext of the medical kit being unavailable.
