New Delhi, Sep 15 (IANS) It was a partly cloudy day here on Thursday with the maximum temperature settling at 35.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the Met Office said and forecast a similar day on Friday.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy on Friday," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), adding the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 25.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the humidity oscillated between 92 and 46 per cent.
The city received 5.6 mm light showers till 8.30 a.m. on Thursday.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday settled at 34.9 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.7 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
