Kolkata, Sep 14 (IANS) Around 60,000 people would get jobs as the West Bengal Board of Primary Education on Wednesday published results of Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) for recruitment of primary teachers and that of the School Service Commission for teachers of secondary and higher secondary schools.
"Around 60,000 people will be recruited now," said Education Minister Partha Chatterjee.
Around 23 lakh candidates had appeared for the TET exam in October last year for around 30,000 vacancies for primary teachers in the state.
A section of candidates had challenged certain provisions, including allowing non-trained candidates for teaching jobs.
