New Delhi, Sep 12 (IANS) Low cost carrier SpiceJet on Monday said it has signed an interline agreement with Hahn Air -- a Germany based distributor of services for air, rail and shuttle partners -- to expand more into the international markets.
"SpiceJet is the only domestic airline to ink the interline agreement with Germany's Hahn Air, which will enable the airline to now sell its flight tickets on Hahn Air's booking system, thus giving it a direct access to the global platform while easing passengers' travel worldwide," the budget carrier said in a statement.
According to the airline, the partnership will enable it to gain better access to the global markets, besides elevating customer convenience and improving service procedures and interline payment.
"We have charted out a systematic growth path for SpiceJet and the time is ripe for us to reach out to a wider audience while enabling our customers to avail an extensive network with elevated convenience," Shilpa Bhatia, Senior Vice President, Commercial, SpiceJet was quoted as saying in the statement.
"The association will help us to penetrate the untapped markets which will in due course reflect in our business growth proposition."
The airline said it has outlined Europe amongst its foremost target markets in its global outreach programme post the tie-up.
