Shekhar Ravjiani overwhelmed with response from foreign audience

Singapore, Sep 11 (IANS) Shekhar Ravjiani paid a musical tribute to his mentor Jagjit Singh here. Overwhelmed by the response, the singer-composer says it was the blessings of the late singer that made the show special.

Shekhar, who is one-half of the famous composer duo Vishal-Shekhar, took to Twitter to express his views after the show, in which he got standing ovation from the audience.

He tweeted: "The warm beautiful people of Singapore who made the show so special last night. #HazaaronKhwaisheinAisi. Jagjit uncles blessings made this show one of the most special concerts of my life. #HazaaronKhwaisheinAisi."

Shekhar, known for hit tracks like "Tujhe bhula diya", "Bin tere" and "Meherbaan", also shared that it was an "humbling moment" for him.

He posted: "A truly humbling moment last night when the audience gave me a standing ovation. Blessed. #HazaaronKhwaisheinAisi".

On the singing front, Shekhar's compositions along with Vishal was heard in film "Akira", and will next be part of films like "Banjo" and "Befikre".
