Chennai, Sep 6 (IANS) Actor Priyadarshi Pullikonda, who will be playing the role of superstar Mahesh Babu's friend in an upcoming, yet-untitled Telugu-Tamil bilingual project, says he will be starstruck working alongside the latter and rubbing shoulders with director A.R. Murugadoss and cinematographer Santosh Sivan.
"It's a fanboy moment, you know, to be working alongside Mahesh, Murugadoss sir and Santosh Sivan sir. I am going to be starstruck, but at the same time I look forward to learning from them," Priyadarshi, who will join the sets of the film here on Wednesday, told IANS.
He had already spent a day with the team in Hyderabad.
"It was wonderful meeting Mahesh and Murugadoss sir. I'm also excited to work with actor R.J. Balaji because we play the same roles. While I play Mahesh's friend in the Telugu version, he will play the same role in the Tamil version," he said, adding that the makers are treating the film as a bonafide bilingual project.
Priyadarshi rose to fame following the success of Telugu indie hit "Pellichoopulu". His role as Kaushik, with a Telangana accent, left audiences in splits.
His performance in the film even won over Mahesh Babu.
"Mahesh told me he loved the film, describing it as a breath of fresh air. Even Rakul Preet Singh, who plays the leading lady in this project, said she thoroughly enjoyed the film," he said.
Priyadarshi is also a part of "Hunterrr", the eponymous Telugu remake of the Hindi adult comedy, apart from the Gopichand Malineni directorial "Angel", "Darshakudu" and director Mahesh Katti's next.
