Mumbai, Sep 2 (IANS) Actress-writer-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi is set to make her debut in the theatrical space with "Drama Queen", and its director Inaayat Ali Sami believes she is flawless as an artiste.
"Drama Queen", presented by AGP World, will show her in a never before seen avatar.
"Drama Queen" is a play that will make the audience laugh, cry and look at the modern Indian woman in a whole new light with all her vulnerabilities and strengths.
Speaking about her debut on stage, Sami said in a statement: "Suchitra is a flawless actor and it has taken up about a year to be fully prepared for the theatrical public showcase. We hope we can do full justice to the theatrical interpretation and bring to the fore Suchitra in totality, not as the world knows her but as what she really is."
Producer Ashvin Gidwani shared that it gives him great pleasure to present to the world a facet of an icon who has always preferred to be reserved about her personal affairs.
"Audiences will be left shocked as her story unfolds," added Gidwani.
Her fans in Mumbai can catch the play on September 30 and October 2.
Suchitra, who was married to filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, is best known for films like "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa", "Aag" and "Rann".
