Mumbai, Sep 2 (IANS) Shirish Kunder's short movie "Kriti" has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube. The filmmaker has thanked megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and actress Kangana Ranaut for promoting the film through various platforms.

The short film, which was released on the video-sharing site on June 22, features Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte and Neha Sharma.

While Kangana launched the short film at an event here, Amitabh and Kejriwal promoted it over Twitter.

Shirish took to the micro-blogging site on Friday to thank all for supporting the film.

In a series of tweets, he wrote: "Thank you Kangana Ranaut for launching 'Kriti' and providing the much-needed initial support in achieving our dream of 10 million views.

"Thank you Amitabh Bachchan sir for sharing our short film 'Kriti' to your millions of fans and helping us achieve our dream of 10 million views."

To Kejriwal, Shirish wrote: "Thank you Mr. Arvind Kejriwal for supporting us every time we were down, and helping us achieve our dream of 10 million views for 'Kriti'".

In response, Kejriwal tweeted: "The movie has been so successful on its own strength. Congrats to the whole team."

The short film's success comes after the film's makers' legal battle with a Nepali filmmaker, who claimed that "Kriti" is a copy of his film "BOB".

But the copyright claims over "Kriti", produced by Muvizz.com, were finally put to rest on July 15.
