New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "Mr. Reliance" after a full page advertisement of the company's "Jio Digital Life" appeared in newspapers featuring the Prime Minister's photograph.
Kejriwal also took a jibe at Modi for endorsing the brand and advised him to continue "modelling" for the company.
"PM as Mr Reliance" Kejriwal tweeted.
In another tweet he said: "Modi ji. Keep modelling in ads of Reliance. Labourers across the country will teach you a lesson in 2019."
However, the advertisement clarified that the launch is "dedicated to realising our Prime Minister's Digital India vision for 1.2 billion Indians".
It also said: "In the journey of time, there come a few life-changing movements. Prime Minister's inspiring vision of a Digital India is one such movement."
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Thursday announced that domestic phone calls from the Jio network will be free forever, and unveiled a four-month introductory offer for everyone of a zero-tariff voice and data services, beginning from September 5.
