Addressing a public rally in Amethi, his parliamentary constituency, the Gandhi scion said in Make in India campaign, the roar of the lion is not being heard anywhere. He also took pot shots at the Prime Minister on the rising prices of essential food items and said that in the history of free India, pulses were selling for the first time at Rs 200 a kilo.
Gandhi, who is on a three-day visit to Amethi, also told his supporters that Modi had assured that he will not indulge in politics of vendetta but he has snatched away projects worth Rs 3,500 crores from Uttar Pradesh. "Prime Minister Modi only makes tall promises in India and creates false hopes abroad whereas the reality is for all to see," the Congress leader said.
He is scheduled to attend a meeting in the district collectorate on Friday after which he will fly off to New Delhi in the afternoon.
