New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Three Indians who are stuck in war-torn Libya, including two who went back after being evacuated in April, are being brought to Benghazi city and will be flown to India, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Thursday.
She said this in response to a tweet by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal who stated: "Requesting @SushmaSwaraj Ji to look into the matter of three men from Punjab stuck in Libya. They are seeking help to return to India."
"We have brought them in military vehicles 650 Kms away to Benghazi. We will now fly them from Benghazi/Tripoli," Sushma Swaraj tweeted.
However, she said two of the three men were being rescued after they had gone back to the North African country on April 28 this year ignoring government advisories.
"They are being evacuated from war torn Libya at the public expense for the second time," Sushma Swaraj said in another tweet.
