Anand co-founded Gramener and until recently served as the Chief Data Scientist and designed the Gramener visualisation platform -- the company's flagship product.
As the CEO, Anand will spearhead the company's next stage of growth through technology innovation, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Anand will succeed J. Ramachandran as CEO on September 1. Ramachandran is also one of the co-founders of Gramener and will continue as Chief Mentor.
"Anand is one of the most respected data scientists of the country. As the CEO, I am confident he will lead the team to create innovative and differentiated products for the marketplace. His proven technology prowess and vision will be key at this phase of growth for Gramener," said Ramachandran.
"Gramener is in a unique position -- providing solutions in the data, analytics, visualisation and consulting space across industries," Anand said.
"From this viewpoint, we have uncovered recurring patterns of analysis that consistently yield insights. My focus will be to translate these patterns into processes and products that dramatically transform our clients business," he added.
Prior to co-founding Gramener, Anand worked at The Boston Consulting Group, Infosys Consulting, Lehman Brothers and IBM.
Anand holds a Bachelor's degree from IIT Madras, and a Master's in Business Administration from IIM Bangalore.
