New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS) It was a pleasant and cloudy Tuesday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 25 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average so far.
"The sky will be generally cloudy throughout the day. Rains and thundershower are likely to occur in several areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the weather office, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
The National Capital, which was brought to a stand-still due to heavy water logging on Monday, recieved 21.8 mm rainfall, with maximum rainfall in the Ridge area at 43.2 mm.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 85 per cent.
Monday's maximum temperature settled at 34.7 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius, at the season's average.
