London, Aug 30 (PTI) Rapper Drake was unable to collect his trophy at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards because he was stuck in traffic.
The 29-year-old record producer won the Best Hip Hop Video accolade for his song "Hotline Bling" at the star-studded event but was unable to collect his prize due to traffic, reported Female First.
Drake's late arrival to the award ceremony made the presenter Diddy kept his silver and gold statue until he turned up later to receive it.
The "Too Good" hitmaker also presented the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award to his rumoured girlfriend Rihanna at the event.
He delivered a heart-warming speech hailing the R&B beauty's achievements, declared he had been "in love" with her since he was 22, and honoured her as a "living, breathing legend in our industry".
They then shared a kiss on the cheek as the "Diamond" songstress stepped up to accept the special Moonman award, which she celebrated as "such an amazing moment" in her career.
