Brussels, Aug 29 (IANS) A bomb blast hit a crime laboratory in Brussels on Monday, Belgian authorities said.
According to a report on RTL Belgium news, a car rammed through three fences of the Brussels Institute of Criminology at 2.30 a.m., the BBC reported.
"One or more" suspects then reportedly detonated a bomb near the laboratories, the report said.
However, it was unclear what happened to the suspects behind the blast, which Belgian media said had caused "significant" damage, the BBC added.
Belgium's terror alert level remains high since bomb attacks on Brussels airport and the city's metro claimed by the Islamic State killed 32 people in March.
