New Delhi, Aug 26 (IANS) The national capital experienced a humid day on Friday with rain at some locations while the maximum temperature settled at 35.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the Met office said. It forecast rain on Saturday.
"Generally cloudy sky and thunderstorm with rain is likely to occur on Saturday," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Friday began with pleasant morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, and the city received 14.8 m.m. rain but this failed to brought down the humidity which oscillated between a high of 95 per cent and low of 60 per cent.
Thursday's maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the average while the minimum temperature settled at 26.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average.
