Chinese shares open higher

Beihing, Aug 26 (IANS) Chinese stocks opened higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05 per cent, at 3,069.85 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index opened 0.23 per cent higher at 10,703.32 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.24 per cent to open at 2,186.00 points, Xinhua reported.
