London, Aug 23 (PTI) Actor Mark Hamill has supported the request of a terminally ill "Star Wars" fan to see "Rogue One" earlier than its scheduled release in December.
Neil Hanvey, 36, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April, with only eight months to live, has been a fan of the epic space opera and want to watch series' first stand-alone "Star Wars" anthology film, reported Digital Spy.
Hanvey's wife started the campaign with the hashtag #RogueOneWish on social media, hoping to get the attention of Disney and Lucasfilm to let him see the movie from his hospital bed before it comes out in December.
Hamill, 64, known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the popular film series, reposted one of the tweets of Neil Hanvey's supporter, reported Digital Spy.
"Campaign launched for terminally ill Star Wars fan to see Rogue One early @HamillHimself #rogueonewish," he retweeted the message.
