Magnitude-6 quake hits Japan

Tokyo, Aug 20 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale hit Miyako in Japan on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 40.3564 degrees north latitude and 143.6799 degrees east longitude, Xinhua news agency reported.
