Chennai, Aug 18 (IANS) Actor Venkatesh's Telugu action-comedy "Babu Bangaram", has grossed Rs. 25 crore within first four days of its release in cinemas worldwide.
The Maruthi Dasari directorial released on August 12.
"In just four days, the film grossed around Rs. 25 crore with a share of Rs. 17 crore. The four-day weekend (Aug 12-15) really helped to draw audiences in hordes to the cinemas. This is the biggest solo opening for Venkatesh in a long time," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
"Babu Bangaram" has been lapped up by the masses for its overall entertainment factor.
"We are overwhelmed with the response. With Rs. 25 crore gross in the first four days, the numbers stand testimonial to the film's success," producer Naga Vamshi told IANS.
Also starring Nayanthara, Prudhviraj, Sampath Raj and Murali Sharma, the film has also been dubbed and released in Tamil as "Selvi".
Co-produced by Naga Vamshi and P.D.V Prasad, "Babu Bangaram" has music by Ghibran.
