Thank U (Whole India is a witness to the fact that it's always the nation's women who come on top whenever there's a difficulty)."
Malik's father Sukhbir, a bus driver, received a congratulatory call from Jain too.
Malik, on Wednesday, became only the fourth woman from india to win a medal at the Olympic games when she defeated Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan for bronze in the 58 kg category.
She is the only one so far to have won a medal for the country in this Olympics.
