Sisodia released the book, put together by Centre for Civil Society (CCS), a non-profit group, at India International Centre (IIC) after a discussion "Jann ki Baat: A Citizen's Perspective".
The handbook is a product of 24 college students from all sorts of study streams like economics, history, commerce, political science, journalism, who constituted the 16th year of Researching Reality internship at the CCS to engage in research on public issues.
The handbook features research papers assessing the impact and relevance of policies affecting the lives of ordinary citizens in the national capital in eight areas of urban governance, i.e. trade and commerce, education, health, water, urbanisation, power, governance and environment.
It also examines the feasibility and potentiality of recent policy initiatives such as the Delhi Solar Energy Policy, 2016, the Model Shops and Establishment Act, the State of Delhi Bill, 2016, etc.
Those who spoke before the launch of the book included, among panellists, eminent academician and economist Geeta Gauri, Supreme Court counsel Vikramjit Banerjee, Aam Aadmi Party National Treasurer and spokesperson Raghav Chadha, and Advisor to the State Minister for Health Nimmi Rastogi.
