Mumbai, Aug 17 (IANS) Radio channel Radio City 91.1FM has launched the eighth season of its singing talent hunt show "Radio City Super Singer Season 8", extending it to eight more cities this year.
The channel has invited aspiring singers to showcase their talent. The cities added this year are Agra, Bareilly, Jalandhar, Karnal, Gorakhpur, Ranchi, Varanasi and Vadodara.
"We are certain that Season 8 will also be a phenomenal success across the country. The theme this year of 'Jinki Rag Rag Mein Hai Singing' takes forward the brand proposition of 'Rag Rag Mein Daude City'," Kartik Kalla, Executive Vice President and National Head - Programming, Marketing at AudaCITY, Radio City, said in a statement.
"With final five contestants battling it out in each city for the Numero Uno position, participants will get a chance to win a cash prize along with a chance to be featured live on Radio City 91.1FM," he added.
There will be multiple platforms for singers to register and audition in each city. The hunt will culminate with a grand finale across 22 cities in September.
