New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS) Veteran actor Anupam Kher will be back on the small screen, and this time to host a TV show titled "Bharatvarsh", which will tell stories about important people behind the formation and evolution of the country.
"Bharatvarsh" will take viewers on a journey from ancient India to the 19th century by showcasing the life stories of some major figures who had a defining impact on the country's development.
Talking about his new show, Anupam told IANS over phone from Adelaide: "It is a great concept. It is not only educating and informative but also talks about the greatness of the country and greatness of the people who have been there before."
"It's important to tell the story of great people with great life stories."
The 61-year-old said that it is important for people to know about their own country.
"It talks about the rich culture and heritage of our country. When you see it in a visual form, it is much more entertaining and interesting," he added.
The show will present thoughts and ideologies of personalities like Chanakya and Gautam Buddha.
On TV, Anupam has earlier hosted shows like "The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai" and "Sawaal Dus Crore Ka".
"Bharatvarsh" will air on ABP news channel every Saturday starting August 20.
