Villarreal’s Jonathan dos Santos sidelined for 3 weeks

Villarreal, Aug 14 (IANS) Mexican midfielder Jonathan dos Santos will be sidelined for three weeks after his left thigh injury was confirmed on Sunday.

Medical staff at La Liga side Villarreal announced Santos' injury here on Sunday, reports Efe.

The Mexican could not participate with his team in the friendly game on Saturday against Leganes.

The 26-year-old midfielder will not be able to play in the early rounds of the Champions League against French side Monaco, whether next Wednesday in the first leg or on August 23 in the second leg.
