UK men’s team wins gold, setting world record in track cycling event
Rio de Janeiro, Aug 14 (IANS) The British men's team took gold in track cycling event at the 2016 Rio Olympics, setting a new world record time.
Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Ed Clancy, Owain Doull and Steve Burke finished in 3 minutes and 50.26 seconds.
This beats the previous world record that the British set earlier on Friday in Round 1 (3 minutes and 50.57 seconds).
