Midfielder Busquets says Barcelona aim to keep winning

Barcelona, Aug 13 (IANS) Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets said on Saturday that the Catalan football giants have "players of high quality" with the ability to keep winning titles.

"The aim is to continue growing as a team and individually so we can keep on winning," Busquets said.

Barcelona will play against Sevilla on Sunday in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, reports Xinhua.

Busquets expressed his confidence that the opponent will not be affected by Tuesday's 2-3 defeat against Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.

After Barcelona completed the pre-season preparations with three victories and one defeat, scoring 10 goals and conceding nine, the Catalan club starts the season with a good feeling, but also there are some concerns over defense lines.

However, the Spanish midfielder explained that Barcelona must "be solid".

"We have conceded goals in recent games, but pre-season is in order to improve," Busquets added.
