Delhi Police closes old Yamuna iron bridge

New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS) The old Yamuna iron bridge, connecting east Delhi with the National Capital, was on Saturday closed as the water rose above the danger level.

"The water of Yamuna was flowing over the danger level so we closed it as a precautionary measure," Joint Commissioner of Police (traffic) Garima Bhatnagar told IANS.

The closure of the bridge resulted in the diversion of traffic onto other roads.
