Athlete Lalita fails to qualify in 3,000m steeplechase

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 13 (IANS) India's Lalita Babbar failed to qualify for the final round of the women's 3,000 metre Steeplechase category at the Rio Olympics here on Saturday.

Lalita finished fourth, clocking 9 minutes 19.76 seconds in the Round 1 Heat 2 at the Olympic Stadium.

The first three in each heat qualify for the final round.
